Tristan Thompson files libel lawsuit against woman claiming the NBA star fathered her five-year-old child

NBA star, Tristan Thompson filed a lawsuit against Kimberly Alexander, the woman who claims he fathered her five-year-old son 

 

In the libel suit, obtained by The New York Post, Thompson, 29, through his attorney, Marty Singer claims Alexander “is a wannabe social media influencer and pornographic model/performer who is so desperate to achieve her fifteen minutes of fame that she recently fabricated a false claim that NBA star/Cleveland Cavaliers centre/power forward Thompson is the father of her nearly five-year-old son.”

 

The court documents cite that although Thompson did not believe he was the father of the defendant's child, he chose to "voluntarily" submit a DNA test to "definitely determine the child's paternity." 

 

Singer writes, "Alexander has persisted in publicly proclaiming that Thompson is her child's father and she has maliciously accused Thompson of being a deadbeat dad, ‘neglecting' and failing to take financial responsibility for the child since birth. Such statements are absolutely false and are defamatory per se. To quote Michael Jackson, "the kid is not [his] son." 

 

The documents go on to cite that it's "highly suspect" that Alexander waited until now to claim that Thompson is the father her child. 

 

Further, Singer points out that "instead of accepting the DNA results and moving on, Alexander turned to social media where she posted on Instagram a copy of the private and confidential DNA report along with the following statements: "I am extremely upset with LB genetic DNA testing with the fact that they are trying to sabotage a DNA test with Tristan [sic] Thompson regarding my son that he has been neglecting since birth I know for sure that Tristan Thompson is the father of my child." 

 

Alexander also accused Thompson and the KUWTK star of "falsifying" the DNA results and "paying off" people, the court records state. 

 

Before now, Thompson's attorney initially threatened to take legal action against Alexander in a cease and desist letter. 

 

The letter asked Alexander to "immediately stop defaming [Thompson and Khloe Kardashian[ with malicious defamatory lies and specious fabrications," referring to the paternity claim that surfaced online at the time.

 

Thompson, an NBA championship-winning Cavaliers centre has severally been accused of cheating on his girlfriend and reality star, Khloe Kardashian. He was previously embroiled in a cheating scandal in March 2019, after allegedly hooking up with Jordyn Woods, the former best friend of Kardashian’s younger sister Kylie Jenner.

 

The scandal led to their high-profile split in 2019, but the former couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, True, are currently spending the lockdown together. 

 

Twilight actor, Gregory Tyree Boyce and his Nigerian girlfriend Natalie Adepoju mysteriously found dead at their home

Twilight fans are mourning the death of Gregory Tyree Boyce, 30, and his Nigerian girlfriend Natalie Adepoju, 27, after they were mysteriously found dead in their condo in Las Vegas. 

 

The Las Vegas Medical Examiner's office confirmed that the couple were found dead on May 13. The cause of their deaths have not been revealed.

 

A source told E! News that "Greg's cousin woke up and noticed that Greg's car was still at the house. He was worried because Greg was to be in LA. His cousin went to check on him and found them." 

 

 

The source says that prior to his death, Gregory was "really focused and handling a lot of business." And though he had moved to Las Vegas to help his mother, the insider reveals Gregory "would commute to LA for acting jobs and to see his daughter."

 

A second source adds, "Greg was definitely a person who loved life and [was] super positive... super animated, really witty, he was the life of the party. I will definitely miss him. He was one of my funniest friends in LA and made my experience there really memorable."

 

Insiders told TMZ that an unknown white powdery substance was found at the scene, but authorities are yet to confirm. 

 

Boyce was known for his role as Tyler Crowley in the first Twilight franchise movie.

 

His Nigerian girlfriend, Natalie Adepoju who has been dating the actor for just over a year has a young son named Egypt, while Boyce is survived by his 10-year-old daughter, Alaya. 

 

In a statement shared to a GoFundMe, her family described her as being a "loving daughter, niece, sister, cousin, and friend." They continued, "Natalie had so much life to live [and] we are saddened that her life was cut short. Natalie leaves behind her one and only baby boy Egypt, her father, two brothers and one sister, and a host of family and friends who love her dearly."

Yobe state Chief Judge, Musa Nabaruma is dead

The Chief Judge of Yobe State, Justice Musa Nabaruma is dead. Channels Television reported that a family member, Hussaini Nabaruma confirmed the death of the Chief Judge on Tuesday May 19. 

 

Nabaruma who served as the Chief Judge of Yobe for about nine years (the longest in the state), died on Monday night after a protracted illness at the National Hospital in Abuja. 

 

He was appointed as the Chief Judge of Yobe state in 2011 by the immediate past governor of the state, Ibrahim Gaidam.
